Car design

After finishing the master degree I was hired by Bonetto Design in Milan, where I worked with several companies, particularly Fiat group and all its branches. We also collaborated with other consultancies in Torino, where I had the chance to work with other, very diverse companies from all over the world. I grew from Junior Designer to Project Manager with tasks that ranged from sketching and conceptualising, to 3D modelling for presentation in virtual reality room and/or prototyping mostly by CNC milling. In the last months at Bonetto Design I coordinated a small team of designers and managed the account of our biggest client.

Design challenges

On top of my job, during that period I participated in several design challenges. Here two examples, the first one is a redesign of the Peugeot 403, the car my father had when I was born and that transported my family during most of my childhood. The other is the concept “Duo”. The design brief indicated a Scandinavian young and very active heterosexual couple as users. “Go Digital” a contest organised by Opticore and Car Design News in 2002, I reached finalist on the professional category.

Master degree

I graduated in July 2001 with two projects, an individual one “Siqueiros”, we had to create an entire story of a car manufacturer and the reason for this model. Siqueiros was a unique model, celebrating the 50 years of the company by designing a car inspired by the favourite painter of the founder. The other project was done in team, a small multi-function vehicle for a touristic area of the Italian Adriatic.
